NSW: new criteria and pathway for subclass 491 and 190

NSW will open this year Migration Program soon. At this stage, the exact date has not been announced. Fortunately, the State has provided the first glimpse of this year Migration Program

Subclass 491

There will be 2 pathways:

- Apply directly to the regional areas office anytime until the RDA has exhausted of their allocation

- Wait for the invitation from NSW and can apply to live and work in any RDA you want. The invitation round can happen any time during the year.

The criteria are:

- Currently offshore or has been residing in NSW for at least 3 months.

- Each occupation may have additional requirements specifying the minimum years of experience and minimum EOI points.

Currently, the NSW occupation list has not been established and also the additional requirement for a specific occupation

Subclass 190

For 190, the pathway remains the same last year, applicants will need to wait for an invitation.

The criteria are:

- Currently offshore or has been residing in NSW for at least 6 months.

- Each occupation may have additional requirements specifying the minimum years of experience and minimum EOI points.

Currently, the NSW occupation list has not been established and also the additional requirements for a specific occupation.
