Rebate of Visa Application Charge
Federal Government has announced of refunding the Visa Application Charges for international students and working holiday visa.
Students who arrive in Australia in 8 weeks starting from today will be eligible for the refund of the visa application charge, which is $630 for students
Working holiday visa holder who arrive in Australia in 12 weeks starting from today will be eligible for the refund of the visa application charge, which is $495.
These changes will also apply for new applications, which will be processed quickly so applicants can come to Australia during the refund window.
International Student – Working Hours Flexibility
Previously, only international students who work in critical sectors can work unlimited hours. Now, the government has decided to remove the limit on Student visa holder's across all sectors of the economy.
This measure takes effect immediately for all ongoing students as well as new student arrivals who start a job prior to their course commencement, and will be reviewed in April 2022.
Working Holiday Makers – Employer Flexibility
In addition, effective immediately and until the end of 2022, there will be no limit on the length of time Working Holiday Makers can work for the same employer.
Update:
For students Visa: arrive in Australia on that visa between 19 January 2022 and 19 March 2022.
For Working Holiday visa: arrive in Australia on that visa between 19 January 2022 and 19 Apr 2022.
